Which plan fits your WordPress site?

Since disk space is the only difference, that's the only question worth asking. Give us a rough shape of your site and we'll do the sums, including the part most hosts don't mention.

What kind of site is it?
Roughly how many images are in your media library?

A guess is fine. Count photos, product shots and graphics, not the pages they sit on.

Basic Hosting is enough

1GB fits a site this size with room to grow. If you start adding photos in bulk, move up to Standard. It's £1 more.

Order Basic, £2.50/mo

Here's the part that catches people out: every time you upload one image, WordPress quietly saves several resized copies of it. A media library takes roughly twice the space you'd expect, so we've counted that, and we leave about a quarter of the disk free so you're not full again in six months. It's an estimate, not a quote. If you'd rather know exactly, send us your site and we'll measure the real thing.

Why WordPress runs fast on it

WordPress is only as quick as the server underneath it. Here's what's underneath ours.

LiteSpeed, not Apache

We run LiteSpeed Web Server, and the free LiteSpeed Cache plugin talks to it directly from inside WordPress, so pages get served from cache at server level instead of being rebuilt by PHP on every visit. It's the single biggest speed difference between us and a budget Apache host.

WordPress in one click

Softaculous is in every cPanel account. It installs WordPress, builds the database and sets up your admin login in about a minute. No FTP, no config files, nothing to download. Our install guide shows the whole thing.

SSL that renews itself

Free SSL on every plan, issued automatically and renewed automatically. No annual invoice for a certificate, and no site quietly going insecure because a renewal was missed.

Daily backups, included

JetBackup takes a full copy of your site, database and email every day, on every plan, at no extra cost. One day a plugin update will go wrong. When it does, you roll back in a few clicks instead of rebuilding.

Real cPanel, not a skin

You get the actual cPanel: file manager, phpMyAdmin, email accounts, cron jobs, PHP version switching. If you ever leave, everything is standard and portable. We're not locking your site inside a control panel only we understand.

A person on the phone

Support is UK-based and small enough that you'll speak to someone who knows your account. If WordPress breaks at an awkward hour, you're phoning Chesterfield, not raising a ticket into an overseas queue.

Everything's included

No add-on pricing, no "SSL is extra", no renewal surprise in year two.

Moving an existing WordPress site

If your site already lives somewhere else, we'll move it for you and we won't charge for it. Send us the login for your current host and we'll copy the files, the database and the email across, stand it up on a temporary URL so you can click around and check it, and only point the domain over once you say go. Most sites move without visitors noticing anything happened.

Coming from GoDaddy is the one we do most often, usually when the renewal price lands. If you'd rather do it yourself, our WordPress migration guide covers the whole process, and pointing your domain is written up separately.

And the honest version: if you're already on a decent host and paying a fair price, we'll tell you that. There's no sense moving a site that's fine where it is.

Learn WordPress on cPanel

Everything we host WordPress on is standard, documented and yours to poke at. If you're new to it, start with the complete guide to WordPress on cPanel, which covers installs, databases, SSL and backups in one place. From there: speeding WordPress up, getting the most out of LiteSpeed Cache, locking it down, updating it without breaking things and backing it up properly.

Outgrown shared hosting? A UK Ryzen VPS gives you the whole machine, and managed services means we run WordPress for you rather than just hosting it. Not sure which way to jump? Compare the plans or just ask.

Frequently asked questions

Is this managed WordPress hosting?

No, and we'd rather say so up front. This is our cPanel hosting with WordPress running on it: we look after the server, the caching, the SSL and the backups, and you look after your own plugins, themes and updates. If you'd rather hand the whole lot over, that's our Managed Services offering, quoted separately.

Can you move my existing WordPress site over?

Yes, and we don't charge for it. Send us your current host's login details and we'll copy the site, the database and the email across, test it on a temporary URL, and only switch the domain when you're happy. Most sites move with no visible downtime.

Which plan does my WordPress site need?

Storage is the only difference between the three plans: 1GB, 10GB or 25GB SSD. Everything else (unlimited sites, unlimited email, 2 cores, 2GB RAM, LiteSpeed, backups) is identical. A brochure site with a handful of photos fits on Basic; a blog or a shop with a real media library wants Standard or Advanced. The sizer above does the maths.

Does WooCommerce run on this hosting?

Yes. WooCommerce runs fine on our cPanel plans, and LiteSpeed's cache handles the catalogue pages well. Being straight with you though: if you're doing serious order volume, or your product images push you past about 20GB, you'll get more headroom from a UK Ryzen VPS than from a shared plan.

Do you update WordPress, plugins and themes for me?

Not on these plans. WordPress can auto-update itself, and the daily backups mean a bad update is recoverable, but nobody here is watching your plugin list. If you want that watched, ask about Managed Services.

Where are your WordPress hosting servers?

In UK data centres. That keeps latency low for UK visitors and keeps your data in the UK. Support is UK-based too. You getChesterfield, not an overseas call centre.

How do I install WordPress?

One click. Every plan includes Softaculous in cPanel, which installs WordPress, creates the database and sets up the admin account for you in about a minute. Our step-by-step guide walks through it if you'd like to see it first.

Not sure which plan you need?

Phone us and describe your site. We'll tell you which plan fits, whether moving is actually worth it, and what it'll cost. No script, no sales pitch.
